Our story

Ever since I was a kid, I dreamed of having my own farm and working the land for a living. I had a garden throughout all of highschool and then left home for college. During that time, I extensively researched farming practices and worked on a few farms during my summers off. In the summer of 2024 I made that dream a reality. With almost no money but plenty of opportunity, passion and hard work I began my journey into organic vegetable farming.

Our farming practices

We grow REALORGANIC produce. Inspired by farmers such as Eliot Coleman of Four Season Farm in Maine, we have chosen not to pursue USDA organic certification because of the lack of transparency currently present. Confined feeding of animals and aquaponically grown produce are a few examples of practices we believe have tainted the once good name of organic.

On our farm we do a number of things to go beyond organic. We grow cover crops to fix nitrogen and build soil organic matter. We add beneficial microbes to the soil that minimize the need for off farm fertilizers. We apply ZERO pesticides, fungicides or herbicides (even those acceptable by organic standards). We limit tillage and soil cultivation to only when necessary, and lessen disturbance of the animals and fungi that keep the soil healthy.
